Rot, termite, and sun-damaged wood replaced right
Most paint failures start with bad wood. Rot at the fascia, splintered trim under the eaves, sun-cracked siding, and termite damage along the bottom courses all need to be fixed before any new coating goes on. We do the wood repair right, then paint over it so the finish actually lasts.
What we repair
- Fascia boards, eaves, and rake boards
- Door and window trim, including jambs and stops
- T-1-11, board-and-batten, and lap siding
- Garage door framing and exterior column wraps
- Beam ends, soffits, and rafter tails
- Patio cover beams, ledger boards, and post bases
How we work
We replace damaged material with matching dimension lumber, hand-shape pieces when factory profiles aren't available, and prime every cut before installing. Anywhere we've worked gets caulked and primed before paint goes on, so moisture doesn't get back into the new wood.
Why it matters
Painting over rot just hides it. The wood keeps breaking down, the paint film fails again in a year, and the underlying damage spreads. We always cut back to sound wood, replace what's failed, and prime everything before the topcoat. The job costs a little more, and lasts five times longer.
